I came across this cool little video while cruising through core77. The Amish barn raising has always been one of those incredible feats that I admire. It’s unbelievable – the scale, skill, speed and orchestration of the project.

And beyond the barn itself, the sense of community and family must be overwhelming. Intermingling of generations and passing knowledge and skills from one person to the next – everyone has a role to play. There would be so much to gain from this kind of event.
